New XC60 to gain power and improved green credentials

In what is described as a ‘systematic reduction of CO2 emissions from its conventional drivelines’ Volvo will, during the first half of 2009, launch a variant of its new crossover – the Volvo XC60 – with front-wheel drive, an upgraded Euro 5-compliant 2.4-litre diesel engine, featuring 175 horsepower, 420 Nm of torque and CO2 emissions of less than 170 g/km.
With an extra 12 horsepower and lower fuel consumption the new model is set to have major appeal for buyers who want to focus on economy and better CO2 emissions without compromising on driving performance.
Volvo has always been a popular brand for car leasing and the new model will extend that appeal.
