Stylish new VW coupe hatch
VW uses the Bologna Motor Show to unveil its latest design study – the Scirocco Studie R – which is based on the Scirocco GT24.
Offered in white with high gloss black contrasting detail the Studie R has an uprated 2.0litre 270 PS engine with three large air intakes at the front. A large wing dominates the back end and the revised bumper incorporates twin oval exhausts. The sports suspension is racing-derived and the triple spoke 19-inch alloys are stopped by four-piston brake callipers.
Its good looks continue in the cabin with black and white nappa leather and carbon fibre trim. This handsome newcomer places VW firmly back in the sports coupe market – a place it held well in the years it provided the Corrado. The Studie R will boost the glamour of the Scirocco brand and offers a tempting option on the car leasing list.
