Koenigsegg buys Saab Cars!!

I woke up this morning and thought it was an April fool, but after checking my calendar and re reading the news that GM cars are clearing out the brands quicker than a car boot sale on a sunny day in June! The fantastic people at Koenigsegg have come to a deal to buy the saab car manufacturer from GM cars, not seen the price and how it is structured, but it must be exciting news to see a small specialist manufacturer buy a brand like saab. Personally I can’t wait to see what they do to the design and brand, I wonder if the cost of saab cars will be a million pound plus, if so the majority would be looking at saab car leasing as a more practical way of getting behind the wheel

The alternative to crossovers and SUVs?

The Saab 9-3X is described as the ideal alternative to large and heavy crossovers or SUVs. With distinctive looks, a versatile Sport Wagon body, higher stance and advanced all-wheel drive technology, the Saab 9-3X also offers excellent fuel efficiency and functional storage.
Saab designers have raised the chassis 35mm higher (20mm higher on the FWD diesel model) than the standard two-wheel drive Sport-Wagon. It is specifically designed for those who frequently use gravel or unpaved roads, without compromising the driving experience on Tarmac.
The Saab 9-3X is a car in tune with the lifestyle needs of today’s customers. “The 9-3X is an efficient all-rounder for anyone who doesn’t want or need an SUV-type vehicle,” says Simon Padian, Saab Brand Design Chief. “Simply put, we are offering a vehicle that will do what’s required in more comfort and style than a heavier SUV.”
Sounds like a sensible idea. Saab is a popular marquee in the car leasing market and this model is certain to feature prominently.

      Saab to the Future

      saab_lease_car.jpg
This space-age looking interior belongs to Saab’s new concept cars, as debuted at the London International Motor Show.
The 9-4X BioPower and 9-X BioHybrid are at the forefront of Saab’s commitment to developing increasingly ‘green’ motoring solutions.
With such fancy interiors, they’re likely to find themselves taking a bigger share of the car leasing market in the future too.

SAAB 9-3 Turbo X Goes Too Fast!

        2008_saab_9_3_turbo_lease.jpg
Saab leasing fans might have trouble getting their hands on the limited-edition 2008 Saab 9-3 Turbo X – featuring the new XWD all-wheel-drive system. According to Saab officials, the Swedish car maker has near enough sold out of them already!
They’ve only made 2000 of the cars, so it’s not hugely surprising. I’ve never been a contestant on The Apprentice or anything, but my advice would be, why don’t you ‘unlimit’ the edition and make some more then?? If people want to buy what you make then make more of it.
I’m sure some very serious, wrinkled-browed Saab rep would tell me that business is far more complex than that. I’d tell them to get a life – after all, you can’t get a Saab 9-3 Turbo X can you?
