BMW Gas Guzzling Greenhouse
BMW are touting the idea of adding solar panels to the roof of vehicles in an effort to reduce pollution.
At the Geneva Motor Show this year, they showed the concept on a diesel X5. They reckon one square metre of solar paneling could power things like mobile phones and air-con systems.
I reckon if you switch your phone off and remove your jumper, you’ll achieve the same end without driving round in a glorified greenhouse! Oh yeah, and if you’re really bothered about the environmental stuff – don’t lease a BMW X5! Get a Micra or something if you really care, and stop lying to yourself and everyone else.
