Green Audi Not For The Impatient
The new reduced CO2 A3 TDIe from Audi is proving popular. In fact, a little too popular for Audi to cope with.
According to reports, an order placed now, would not be delivered until Christmas! That’s about as green as you can get, isn’t it? Forget persuading motorists into vehicles with reduced carbon emissions; leaving customers without any car at all for six months will do wonders for our poor abused planet.
Is that what customers will do, though? Wait six months without a vehicle… or perhaps take to a push bike in the mean time? No. They’ll probably just get a lease Audi that pumps out the same amount of filth as any other car instead. Because, let’s face it, everyone likes to be seen as doing their bit towards all this green, environmental stuff, but not at the expense of their own convenience.
Sorry planet, we’re just not selfless enough to actually care about the issue. We’re just vain enough to promote the false self image that we are.
