Far from keeping his head down and pursuing a low-profile, quiet life of retirement, Tony Blair is currently swanning about in the new Jaguar XF, which is not on sale in the UK until next month. (So it's still one rule for Tony and, as for the rest of us...)
The grinning frontman is one of the lucky people who have been given the car to test drive ahead of it's release. It's not the most obvious choice of test-driver; a man who has been driven everywhere by someone else for years. Having said that, it's probably been so long that he'll be amazed by things like electric windows and power steering, so the feedback is guaranteed to be all good!
The price tag is £33,900, although this is small change to Tony these days - last month he was appointed as an adviser to Wall Street bank 'JP Morgan Chase', and his salary for this role alone is estimated to be around £500,000. It's fair to assume he won't be among the people getting excited by the great car leasing deals available when March kicks in, which is when the option to lease a Jaguar XF becomes a reality for us mere mortals.
