Geely to buy Volvo!!
Who are Geely? That’s my initial thought when I heard the news that Ford are planning to contract even further and dispose of their prestige brands, land rover sold off, Jaguar sold off, Aston Martin sold off and finally Volvo?
How times are changing a decade ago they were buying all the prestige brands and from the Prestige automotive group, now it’s nearly all been sold off as Ford look to plug the accounts.
So who are Geely?
Geely used to make the cheapest cars in China, but it has been moving towards appealing to more affluent customers. And is looking to put a serious bid on the table to take over Volvo cars with Ford looking to sell all the business.
If you think how much Volvo have improved there image in the past decade and a half, from the T5 that wowed everyone as an exciting fast Volvo to the latest XC90 4wd crossover. The Geely company are going to get a great brand.
