The huge UK thirst for the new Jaguar XF has lead to many customers experiencing delays in getting their hands on one.
Jaguar received over 4,000 pre-orders for their latest, sleek creation from UK customers alone.
The usual 'official' lines have been coming out of Jag HQ, siting stringent attention to delivering the perfect product as the reason for the delays etc, etc.
It's hard to swallow, though, given today's product development process, where markets are so heavily researched prior to going into production - do any of us really believe that the Jaguar big boys are all standing around with surprised faces, marveling at the unexpected demand for the XF? It smells more like the now obligatory Christmas time shortage we see with any new games console, where free hype and accelerated demand is created by the 'surprise shortage'.
Either way, I suppose you have to separate the sales strategy from the beauty of the product itself when something this good comes along. It certainly doesn't deter my desire to be a proud lease Jaguar XF driver. My lack of cash does that for me!
