Jaguar and Land Rover are sinking £2m into virtual reality technology to produce high-definition 3D visuals of vehicle designs and quicken up production.

The facility is being created by Sony and HoloVis International at the Jaguar / Land Rover Gaydon engineering centre to be ready for use later this year. It is set to be the most advanced virtual 3D environment in the world.
Engineering director of Jaguar and Land Rover, Al Kammerer, reportedly said,
"The awesome power of this project is unparalleled in our industry worldwide and will allow us to produce new vehicles on a much quicker timeline, to update and develop more responsively to customer trends, and be more efficient."
The facility will negate much of the requirements for physical prototypes, saving vast sums of time and money.
There should be nothing virtual about your Land Rover or Jaguar leasing experience though! That will be a very real pleasure. Find some fantastic car leasing deals here.
