World’s first stop/start SUV

Land Rover is to launch the world’s first SUV with intelligent Stop Start Technology. Pictured above the Land Rover Freelander 2 TD4_e is being put to the test in a specially designed off-road course through the centre of London’s Battersea Power station.
On sale in the UK in May 2009 the Land Rover Freelander 2 TD4_e provides an 8% reduction in CO2 emissions and potential fuel savings of up to 20% in heavy urban traffic. Look for it in next year’s car leasing opions

Queen’s Awards For Land Rover

Land Rover leasing has received a boost by winning two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
David Smith, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, said: “These awards are not only testament to the fantastic cars we are producing but also to the hard work of the teams that operate around the world in the face of fierce competition.
These are exciting times for Jaguar Land Rover. We’re entering a new era, with new models and new directions. There really has not been a better time to be in the automotive industry.”

Jaguar Land Rover Illogical Rantings

I’ve seen a few rants from people recently along the lines of “if you sign up to Jaguar leasing or you lease a Land Rover, then you’re basically leasing an Indian car, now that Tata have taken over Jaguar and Land Rover.”
So what?
It’s a bit late for such old-school, pick-and-mix patriotism as you walk around in your cheap, Chinese-made clothes, moaning into your ‘cool’ Finnish mobile… bashing out rants about Jaguar and Land Rover on your American laptop!
If we hadn’t become so greedy and lazy, then it wouldn’t be true that other countries do a better and cheaper job. A Jag is still a Jag. Get over it!
