Daimler Follow BMW in C02 Reduction

Daimler leasing is about to become greener, as it has announced plans to introduce measures which will reduce the fuel consumption of its cars by 12 per cent.
The system named “BlueEFFICIENCY” (which sounds like some kind of guide to making a budget porn film) uses technology similar to that which BMW are currently shouting about.
“There is no great difference to the approach of BMW. We will however examine more closely whether a customer actually wants something. This goes for the automatic start-stop sytem, for example, which we first offered ten years ago but did not trigger any excitement among the customers” said Daimler’s head of research and development, Thomas Weber.
