Barak Obama’s V8 Chrysler 300C recently appeared on e-bay courtesy of the shrewd buyer who took it off Obama’s hands when it became obvious that a gas guzzler was not PC. In fact Obama got a pasting from the US media last year after his speech chastising the Detroit industry for failing to produce cars offering greater efficiency.
Instead of the leather trimmed luxury cruiser, Obama settled for a boring Ford Escape hybrid SUV – and the presidency of the United States. Has the White House loft been properly lagged?
The market price for Chrysler 300C is around $15,000 but someone thinks the impression of presidential-to-be buttocks adds $85K to its value. Maybe they should wait until February and enjoy a few years of car leasing the new president’s old motor.

Chrysler leasing uptake looks likely to grow amid the ever-expanding thirst for US models in the UK.
Another vast showroom for Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge has just opened in Hove, displaying the growing popularity of these beastly US status symbols that would have once been considered crude and vulgar on these shores.
The same goes for most US TV shows.
