Alfa Romeo Mito challenges MINI

Looks fantastic and value for money with Italian charm thrown in.

More and more of these super little Alfa’s are appearing on the roads in the UK, not as many yet as the BMW MINI but then the MINI has been around for a good few years but the Alfa is in the competition to win your heart and with great Alfa Romeo leasing deals on at present now could be the time to get a little head turner

Nice line up of engines in true alfa romeo style, with choices of a free revving 1.4 ltr unit which will either pump out 95bhp, 120bhp or 155bhp which is enough to put a strong smile on your face! They also supply a couple of diesels but my money is on the petrol version

Oh and air conditioning is standard on every vehicle so not only will you look cool you will be cool and is you go for a car lease option then you will be having your cake and eating it as my old grandfather used to say.

Test an Alfa and win a racing set!

Not sure it is such a good promotional idea for Alfa Romeo to offer the chance to win a special ‘Quantum of Solace’ scalextric set to those who test drive the special edition Alfa 159. Isn’t that an Aston Martin featuring most prominently on the box? Oh yes, there’s the Alfa, in the background.
Nevertheless that’s the deal – test out the £22,168 stylish and grown-up159 and yes, you could win a child’s model race track worth at least £70. Enticing eh?
The Limited Edition 159 (limited to however many are ordered presumably) comes with £3000 of gadgets – lowered suspension, red Brembo brake callipers, sports dials, black leather upholstery, Carbonio black metallic paint , darkened 19” spoke alloy wheels and it speaks to you if you call it Kit. Strike out the reference to ‘grown-up’ above.
It maybe isn’t as fast as it looks (0-62mph in 9.2secs from a 150bhp engine) but it is very pretty and has the magic badge. A sporty model for the car leasing market.

A new Alfa for less than eleven grand?

From this month Alfa Romeo dealers will be able to show you the new Alfa MiTo (you won’t be able to drive it – it’s a ‘static example’). For a reported £10,975 you get the entry level 1.4 16V 95BHP Turismo . Technology included as standard includes a special electronic system DNA (Dynamic, Normal, All-Weather) which adjusts the response of the car depending on driving style and conditions.
Surprisingly, for an Alfa, depreciation forecasts are excellent. Industry experts CAP expect the Alfa MiTo 1.2 JTDM Veloce to retain a huge 47% of its value after three years and 60,000 miles.
Offical launch is not until late January of next year. Looks like a great car leasing model.

Competizione hots up

Only 41 of the ultra rare Alfa 8C Competizione supercars were destined for the UK in the first batch despatched earlier this year. It’s not hard to see why this Italian thoroughbred is so rare with a hand-built price tag of £138,500.
Arresting visually, it may lead to literal arrest if it’s performance credentials are tested to the full. The 4.7 litre V8 engine produces a massive 450bhp which will have you flying from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds with a top speed of a mere 181mph. Although an unlikely candidate for car leasing it will give rise to a significant waiting list of very rich Alfa addicts.
