7,900 Jaguar XF Models Recalled Over Safety Fears
According to reports, Jaguar have had to issue a recall on nearly 8,000 Jaguar XF models in the US. A problem with the rear safety belts could lead to a failure to adequately restrain passengers in the event of an accident.
It’s a bit of an embarressment for Jaguar, but it’s unlikely to affect the popularity that this car has seen since it was launched into the car leasing market. If you think your Jaguar XF may be affected, contact your local dealer immediately.

Compact Sport Saloon Planned by Cadillac
Cadillac intend to launch a new rear wheel drive sport saloon in 2011, which is said to be aimed at competing with the car leasing favourites such as the Audi A4, the Mercedes C Class and the BMW 3 Series.
It’s not exactly in line with their heritage of making cathedrals on wheels, but as Bob Dylan said – the times they are a changing. I imagine Elvis would have a few words to say about this development too…

Alfa Romeo Ad Banned
An Alfa Romeo national press advertisement has been banned following a complaint that it was misleading.
The ad included a picture of an Alfa 147, with the text reading: “£13,950 Now you know why everyone’s stylish in Italy.”
But apparently the picture did not correspond to the text. Naughty naughty. I don’t think it’s likely to turn people off Alfa Romeo car leasing on moral grounds though somehow.
